Hey Brooklyn. Let me warm you up a bit. We’re stuck in the doldrums of winter but let’s bring that chill into our lives. Let’s heat up the dance floor. Let’s paint the town red. Let’s live until we die.
Sure it’s cold out there, but all I see are blue skies and a sign that your weekend is going to be oh-so-good. How do I know? Well because I planned it, of course. It’s all happening. Now. GO.
Burns Night at the MoFaD in Williamsburg
Oy, lads! Tonight at the Museum of Food and Drink, an event for only the brave at heart. Celebrate Scotland with haggis (don’t know what a haggi is? come onnn.) and other Scottish delicacies, bagpipes, a Scottish whiskey tasting, Robert Burns poetry recitations, men in quilts, both con and sans skivvies (it’s like a grabby guessing game. my favorite kind). Go drink whiskey, get frisky, try to imitate a Scottish accent (it’s impossible.) It’s all happening 6:30-8:30pm. Tickets here. 62 Bayard St.

The Roller Wave Roller Disco Party at House of Yes in Bushwick
Let’s face it, roller skating is fucking fun. And disco isn’t dead, it’s alive in all of us. Especially when we put on spandex and glitter and a little bit of liquor and four wheels on our feet. Friday night House of Yes tranforms into a roller rink disco party so boogie on down in your retro-fab looks and Farrah Fawcett hair and then stay for the disco kitty after-party, which goes until 4. Tickets $20 include skate rental and are available right here. 2 Wyckoff Ave at House of Yes, where they put the sensual in consensual.™
